Pharmacorp Clinical Trials, Inc. is an independent clinical research site within a family medicine practice operated by Hugh D. Durrence, RPh, MD, CPI since 2006.
As Principal Investigator of Pharmacorp Clinical Trials, Dr. Durrence has conducted over 100 clinical research trials for over 22 different major pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs. Having extensive experience conducting outpatient, phase II-IV clinical trials, Dr. Durrence offers comprehensive medical and research services to patients and individuals interested in additional, well-managed healthcare options.
Pharmacorp Clinical Trials conducts ongoing research on a broad scope of primary care conditions and medical devices. To show his commitment to quality, safe, and ethical research, Dr. Durrence became a Certified Principal Investigator with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, ACRP in 2009.
Dr. Durrence is Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1998 after receiving his Doctor of Medicine from Medical University of South Carolina in 1995. He is a Registered Pharmacist since 1979 after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Medical College of Georgia in 1979. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern College in 1976. Dr. Durrence holds Medical Licensures in: South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, and holds Pharmacy Licensures in: South Carolina and Georgia.
Amanda is a Certified Medical Assistant having 12 years research experience and over 15 years experience in the medical field. She holds her Certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants since 2014. She is studying for her Bachelor's in Clinical Research Administration and is a Certified Clinical Research Professional with The Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
Amanda loves coordinating research studies with Dr. Durrence because the patient is the focus of the study and she can spend dedicated time with the patient exploring their disease. She enjoys helping them understand research and new treatments that are available and the importance of research studies.
